ANIMA SPIRIT 2024
Animation Inspirational Lab in collaboration with When East Meets West
ANIMA SPIRIT is designed as an entry point for experienced producers and European, Canadian and Latin American film companies coming from live action or documentary backgrounds to explore the exciting and complex world of animation film production. The lab will combine group work, individual consultations and lectures on financial and creative aspects of animation production.
ANIMA SPIRIT is part of the When East Meets West (WEMW) Inspirational Labs and is hosted by the CEE Animation Workshop Team and led by experts Agne Adomene (ART SHOT, Lithuania) and Martin Vandas (MAUR Film, Czech Republic).
SUBMISSION & DEADLINE
– Producers from Europe, Canada and Latin America are eligible to apply;
– All applications must include: completed online form, producer/company profile, letter of motivation;

Application deadline: 24 November 2023
All applicants will be informed of the selection results in December 2023.
DATES & LOCATIONS
Inspirational Labs will take place on site in Trieste, Italy during WEMW.
ANIMA SPIRIT will start on 21 January and end on 24 January 2024. Participants selected for one of the Inspirational Labs or any other programme will be granted physical access to the market site.
FEE
If selected, the participation fee is EUR 250, including accreditation, tuition, two lunches, coffee breaks and access to the WEMW programme on site. Travel expenses and accommodation are not included.
INSPIRATIONAL DAY LABS INFO
All applicants will have the opportunity to meet virtually with the WEMW team on 2 November from 11.00 to 12.00 (CET) to receive further information about the Inspirational Labs and the submission process. To secure your participation and receive the direct link to info day, you need to register at inspiration@wemw.it by 31 October at the latest.
